This package is a combo for participants who want to complete their PADI Mermaid & PADI Advanced Mermaid certifications during the retreat.

Designed for mermaids who wish to complete their Advanced Mermaid certification during the retreat.

Alumni Mermaid Experience 

This package is for alumni who are not pursuing additional certifications, and want to join the retreat for connection, play, and ocean magic.

  • Optional add-ons (such as photography)
     

This experience is about presence, play, and returning to the water as a mermaid — without coursework or assessments.

For supportive partners & companions

A limited number of mertender spots may be available for partners or companions wishing to join retreat participants on land and selected activities.

  • Optional attendance at select ocean outings (conditions permitting)

    This retreat is open to:

    • Mermaids completing their PADI Mermaid or Advanced Mermaid certification
       
    • Already-certified mermaids (alumni) who want to return to the water in a guided and magical setting
       
    • Mertenders / Mer-partners who wish to join their mermaids on land and select activities (limited spots available).
       

    The goal of this retreat is to support mermaids on a path toward Advanced Mermaid-level skills, so all participants should feel confident and capable in the water.

    Yes. All participants must be strong, comfortable swimmers.
    This retreat is designed for mermaids who are ready to work toward Advanced Mermaid skills, including deeper water work and extended breath-hold practice.

    • PADI Mermaid certification: No prior mermaid certification required, but strong swimming ability is essential.
       
    • Advanced Mermaid & alumni packages: Prior certification is required.
       

    All participants must meet PADI prerequisites for their selected course.

     The retreat will be held on Vancouver Island and will include both freshwater and ocean environments.
    Specific swim and dive locations will be confirmed after in-person scouting to ensure conditions are safe, aligned, and magical. 

    The experience is designed to include:

    • Freshwater river pools with depth, clarity, and natural rock swim-throughs
       
    • Ocean sessions in calm coastal waters with kelp and abundant marine life
       

    Exact locations and schedules may shift depending on weather, tides, and ocean conditions.

    August 21, 2026 - August 24,2026
    Early registration will open first, with priority access given to those on the interest list. 

    This is a small, intimate retreat.

    • Maximum participants: 8 paid adult spots
       
    • Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come basis
       
    • Once spots are filled, registration will close

    A limited number of mertender spots (maximum of 2) may be available on a first-come basis.

    • Mertenders must be registered in advance
       
    • They must indicate which mermaid they are accompanying
       
    • Mertenders may join land-based activities and select group moments
       
    • Mertenders do not participate in certification dives
       

    Availability depends on overall retreat capacity.

    Each package includes:

    • Accommodation for the duration of the retreat
       
    • Guided in-water sessions (based on your package)
       
    • PADI Mermaid or Advanced Mermaid instruction (if applicable)
       
    • Shared meals and community experiences
       
    • A welcome gift curated for retreat participants
       

    Optional professional photography add-ons are available.

    Payment Schedule

     Once you have reserved your place at the Siren Dive School retreat, a $300 deposit is required within 3 business-days from the invoice date. 


    Your spot is not confirmed until the deposit has been paid. 


    The deposit is applied toward your total retreat cost and is non-refundable (See minimum enrollment, cancellations & Transfers sections for exceptions).

     For payment plans, the full balance will be due 30 days (Balance deadline) prior to the start of the retreat. 


    Payment installment due dates will be outlined in the invoice details (depending on chosen the payment method). 


    Failure to pay the full balance prior to the  balance deadline will result in forfeiture of your reservation.

     This retreat takes place on Vancouver Island and includes both freshwater and ocean environments. Specific dive times and swim locations may change based on weather, tides, and safety conditions and are made with everyone's safety as the top priority.

     This retreat requires a minimum of 5 registered participants to proceed. In the unlikely event that minimum enrollment is not met, all payments (including deposit) will be refunded or can be transferred to a future Siren Dive School offering.

      Participants must meet the pre-requisites for their selected PADI Mermaid or Advanced Mermaid course. Siren Dive School reserves the right to modify or discontinue in-water activities if safety standards are not met.

      Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from the retreat location, personal gear (unless otherwise stated), and any medical or travel insurance.
